Delectably Tempting

Any restaurant worth its salt will have the odd award or two – but step into Tor Na Coille’s restaurant to be surrounded by award winning food and chefs. When your meal is prepared by the North East’ Scotland’s Chef of the Year Colin Lyall , and the hotel is run by the chef-owner David Littlewood whose culinary awards list need its own directory, you know it’s going to be a gastronomic delight.

‘Relaxed fine dining’ is the order of the day in either the stylish restaurant or the bar. Our restaurant, with its deep indigo colour palette, thoughtful silver Scottish accessories and the recently refurbished original parquet flooring is a picture perfect backdrop for Tor Na Coille’s renowned seasonal menus and accomplished, confident dishes.

And, on warm days and evenings, why not eat alfresco on the hotel’s manicured lawn and soak in the hotel’s tranquil woodland setting.

But don’t just take our word for it ..

Reviews

“He’s [David’s] an award-winning chef and among the clutch of titles he possesses is the prestigious Scottish Chef of the Year. Great things were expected, and I have to say delivered – with panache and a smile. We relaxed with a pre-dinner drink in the lounge bar which has a modern Scottish vibe to it, before being taken through, by a very nice local waiter, to the Royal Deeside restaurant.”

The Press and Journal

“We had a superb fish dish on our first night and venison on our last night. The venison was locally sourced and cooked to Michelin star perfection. All the food that comes out of the kitchen is made in the kitchen. They even make their own ice cream.”

Lomecosse – Rhu – Trip Advisor

The food was delightful. Quality dining, not pub food. We both had the hake. Wow! Hard to describe. One of the best plates of food I have ever eaten. For dessert we had lemon posset and cheeses. The lemon posset was a picture. A work of art and as fresh as a daisy. The cheeses were all at a perfect temperature.
